After reading chapters 1-8 from the text, Foundations of American Education Perspectives on Education in a Changing World, determine the historical, philosophical, and sociological influences on the American Education System. Write a 6-8 page paper (this page count would include the title page and reference page but not an abstract page if one is included) including specific people, events, and movements. Elaborate on the challenges we have overcome as a nation and what major issues we can expect as we meet the needs of the 21st century. Cite at least 3 sources in addition to the text to support your conclusions.
