II: Defining Retailer’s Customer Profile: (Review Chapter 3 

Answer questions 1 to 7 in a combination of paragraph and simple bullet form.

  1. 1-  Define the price point of the product category you are reviewing and give the retail price range for the key item top, fashion top and print, pattern or embellishment of the knit. (mass market, contemporary fast fashion, moderate, better, bridge, contemporary designer, etc.)

  2. 2-  Define the generational cohort for this product. (Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z etc.)

  3. 3-  Define the point of view/shopping attitude. (tween, junior, fast fashion, need, want,

    desire, classic, sporty, preppy, edgy, professional, provocative, conservative, fashion

    forward, follower, contemporary, global, runway etc.) Give Evidence to support.

  4. 4-  Where do their (Retailer you selected) customers shop. (other retailers or websites)

  5. 5-  Benchmark Brands (best performing brands priced similarly to a customer’s brand

    choice)

  6. 6-  Aspirational Brands (designer influences, street influences, Horizontal flow,

    downward flow, upward flow) Brands that this customer would desire if it were in

    their reach.

  7. 7-  Consumer Muse (celebrity icons or movie/television characters this customer aspires

    to follow style; minimum of three. Images showing their “look” here are great.)
