I am looking for a Narrative Essay. This essay will be a narration about the taking your first ever college course.Perhaps, telling the story from signing up for the course, through the end of the course. This will be minimum 500 words; maximum 750 words.
The narrative essay you are to tell a story ‘without’ dialogue…no he said ‘this’ or she said ‘that.’ Instead…tell the story. Aim to describe a realistic event–no retelling of fairy tales or creative Sci-Fi adventures, etc. You want a formal, academic essay on this one 🙂
Don’t do this:
Joe said, “You aren’t going over there.”
Jane said, “Yes, I am.”
Joe said, “If you do, I’m leaving for good.”
Jane said, “Alright, I won’t go.”
Instead…do this.
Joe and Jane argued about her going out, but she decided not to go when Joe threatened to leave her.
Not the best example…but you get the idea.
Other things to remember:
Double space and indent paragraphs
No you/your pronouns.
No dialogue
No subheadings
500 words minimum — 750 word maximum. Writing in a shorter space is harder to do effectively so remember not to go over the 750 word maximum 🙂
