Topic: Consider the contemporary roles of parents described in Reading 20 (page 309) of Skolnick. Describe the impact that the changing role of women within the family has had on childcare responsibilities and the traditional role of the man as the “sole provider.” Can domestic and childcare responsibility be equally shared between partners? Does one or the other need to take primary responsibility, as in the movie “Mr. Mom?” What values surrounding the role of men need to be re-examined? (2-3 pages)
