Locate ten poems online. As in your other lessons, you may use songs as long as they have strong poetic devices. Look for poems or songs that you enjoy.

Choose five poems. For each, complete a short, 100-­150 word response that includes the following:

• What is the tone of the poem?
• Who is the speaker of the poem?
• What is the theme of the poem?
• Locate one poetic device (repetition, imagery, metaphor, etc).
