Article Search (50pts): 

Collect FIVE articles on your focus topic. Print out each article. Read each article carefully. Use active reading as you read these. Your instructor will look to see if you have highlighted or used symbols on the article pages. Take notes, using the Cornell formula for each article. Make sure to include a summary after you take notes. (You will use these summaries for the final step—the annotated bibliography).

Graphics Search (10pts): 

Find TWO graphics or illustrations related to your topic (pie chart, table, bar graph, for example). These graphics are likely to be found in articles as well. Print these graphics out for your folder. Make sure to list the sources under each graphic.

Annotated Bibliography (30pts): 

Arrange the bibliographic entries of your articles alphabetically and in proper MLA format including a summary/analysis of each article on an annotated bibliography. Make sure to look at the sample in class for any guidance. Print this document out and place in folder as your final item.

NOTE: folders will be graded on appropriate format, neatness and organization, inclusion of all items required, and thorough reading and summarizing of each article.
