  • What do you wish you had known at the start of the course that you know now? What seemed difficult and what seemed easy?
  • What skills did you improve? What do you still need to work on?
  • How will you apply what you have learned to other classes or to your workplace or future workplace setting?

What I wish I would have known at the beginning of this course is how to properly write a thesis statement.Professor Sheridan did an excellent job on teaching the class on the requirements for a strong thesis statement that would grab the reader’s attention.The most difficult for me was how to tie and transition between paragraphs.The skills that I improved in was making my essay more dramatic and realistic, but my downfalls are the basic grammar involved in the essay.I stay focus on the essay itself and fail to focus on the proper grammar.I strongly believe that with this course and the following course I will possess the necessary requirements needed to write a proper report if need be.Since my line of work that I plan to apply for requires many reports, this course will benefit me in the long run.

Second post:

Going into this course, I didn’t know what to expect. I was please to find that our big assignment was going to be about writing an essay. The fact that it was an open subject made it much easier for me. The most difficult part about writing an essay was deciding what my thesis statement would be. I felt that I was overthinking my statement and kept changing it to tie in better with my introduction. The most easiest part was brainstorming main ideas and supporting details. I need to improve on reviewing my essays for grammar errors. In this course, I learned how easy it can be to write an essay if you break it down into parts. Separating each piece of the assignment made this essay stress free for me. I can take this method I learned and apply it to my future assignments I will have in other classes.
