As an Early Childhood Educator and Caregiver it’s helpful to identify and express your own Professional Philosophy Statement. This statement is a summary of your professional beliefs and values about early childhood education and will be a key component in your Professional Portfolio.
In this assignment you will create a Professional Philosophy Statement and answer the following questions.
- What are your personal values and beliefs around teaching and learning?
- How do you believe young children learn? Based on this, what do you believe your role is in young children’s learning?
- What do you believe are other important aspects of your role in the lives of children and families?
Remember to include information from your previous early childhood education courses and/or any CDA Preparation experience. This includes your work with writing your Statements of Competence and Resource Collections.
Your statement should of 2 pages in length and professionally composed including an introduction, content and conclusion paragraphs.
