One way that I used it recently was calculating my wife’s average paycheck. She has a work at home job and work is hit and miss, so we wanted to estimate, based on the previous 5 checks, how much her average check was.$244.12 + $160.15 + $400.25 + $317.33 + $205.55 = $1327.40Now that I have the total $1327.40 I will divide it by the number of paychecks which was 5.1327.40 / 5 = $265.48Therefore her average check is $265.48.Therefore
