BIOSTATS (Calculating and Interpreting Measures of Occurrence and Association

Due 6/9  8 p.m ESTBe on time..Original work!!! MUST SHOW ALL WORK!!Each study design has measures that are used to calculate occurrences of health outcomes and to assess whether or not particular exposures may be associated with these outcomes. For example, consider the relative risk calculated from a cohort study on the relationship between drinking coffee and developing Alzheimer’s disease. This would be a comparison of the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in the group of coffee drinkers with the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease in the group of individuals who do not drink coffee. This week, you calculate and interpret the measures of occurrence and association that are used in these study designs.
