As soon as you can

All students must write a 1 -2 page summary and review of an academic article of their choosing.  All assignments should be formatted in Times New Roman font, size 12, double-spaced, with one inch margins. Due at the beginning of class on 03/04/2016. All steps MUST be completed to receive full credit.

Step 1: Choose an Article

Please use one of the resources discussed this Thursday in class. You can find a link RMU’s online databases here: http://library.rmu.edu/research-assistance/databases

The article must be either related to your degree or Pittsburgh. You should read at least three articlesbefore you select one.

Step 2: Prepare a paper

Your journal entry should include the following:

  1. Explanation of why you chose the article instead of the other articles you read
  2. Which database did you use to find the article?
  3. Summary of the article
  4. At least one quote from the article (properly cited)

Step 3: Create Reference Page

For this assignment you must have at least 3 articles cited in APA format: the one that you chose to write about plus two other articles that you read while deciding which article you wanted to write about. The Reference Page DOES NOT count as a page towards your paper length requirements.

Step 4: Be prepared to present the article to the class 

Every student will be asked to answer the following questions to the class:

  1. Why did you choose this article?
  2. What was the article about? (3 most important points)
  3. What is the most interesting thing that you learned and would like to learn more about?
