APA interview discussion
Conduct a job search using the APA website and / or another internet source. Discuss what you find. What kind of jobs are available for those with BA (Bachelor of Arts) or BS (Bachelor of Science) in psychology? For those with an MA (masters) degree in psychology? A Ph.D. or a Psy.D. in psychology? Copy the links to these jobs listings into the discussion thread so that we can all check them out.
Part 2:
Think back to a job interview in which you were either the interviewer (i.e. employer) or the applicant.
Discuss what worked and what didn’t work from either the interviewer’s or the applicant’s perspective.
If you were the interviewer – what kinds of questions did you ask and what advice can you give to your fellow classmates about what they should or should not do in an interview?
If you were the applicant – what kinds of questions were asked of you? What advice can you give to your fellow classmates about successfully landing that job?
