This assignment is broken up into 2 parts. First, view the video chosen from the American History in Video – Pre Assignment, and write a 1–2-page summary of its content. You will not be asked to analyze the information, only provide a synopsis of the material. Citations or footnotes will not be required for this assignment.

For the second part of the assignment, you will identify 5 scholarly books using the library search engine and/or WorldCat, and 5 scholarly articles using JSTORAcademic Search Complete, or Academic OneFile that directly relate to the specific topic covered in the video. You must use current Turabian format to create a bibliography. You do not need to read your sources entirely, but you must read enough make sure they are directly related to the video summarized.

1. You must use the template for the assignment provided in Blackboard.

2. The 1–2-page summary must be typed and double-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font and have 1-inch margins.

3. You will also submit a bibliography of 5 books and 5 articles that directly relate to the chosen video. For example: If you watch a video on the Battle of Gettysburg, you must choose sources for your bibliography that deal with the Battle of Gettysburg, not the Civil War. Although they are broadly related, the connection must be more focused. This bibliography must conform to current Turabian format and follow the template provided in Blackboard.

4. Read and apply the rules found in theWriting Tipsdocumentto insure the best score. Under most circumstances, the best papers will be those that are revised several times. In your revisions, check for grammatical errors, organizational issues, and clarity of communication.

Submit this assignment by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 5.
